Write to your local MP

Writing to your MP is a great way to ensure our government’s attention is focused on animal welfare. 

MPs are responsible for representing their constituents' concerns in parliament, and writing a personal letter is a great way to reach them on a one-on-one level.  Simply raise your concerns or request an appointment to discuss these issues in person. 

Either way, if the local community is not applying pressure to MPs to do something about animal welfare, it's unlikely be on their agenda.

In our conversations with MPs they have indicated that a personal letter can carry great weight and is a more honest representation of what you, their constituents, feel about various issues.

To help you get started, we have included some pointers.  Rewrite these in your own words, and remember to request a reply.  If you put the effort into writing a letter, it's only fair your MP does the same!
